A Slimming Cider to Kickstart Your Metabolism

If you’re feeling a little under the weather and need a kickstart to your metabolism, immune system, and digestive track, then look no further––this cider has got it all! Packed with vitamin C and anti-inflammatory ginger, this spicy cocktail will heat you up and give your system the jolt it needs. You can drink this first thing in the morning or serve as an after-dinner treat, but either way you will definitely feel the benefits.

INSTRUCTIONS //

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a large pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for 25-30 minutes.
  3. Strain cider into another container or use small sieve to serve.
  4. To serve, ladle out 6 fluid ounces in each cup.
  5. Garnish with slice oranges.
INGREDIENTS //

  • 8 cups organic apple juice (100% pure juice)
  • 1 large orange, thinly sliced
  • Peel from 1 lemon
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 8 allspice berries
  • 10 whole cloves
  • ½ tsp fresh grated ginger
